We are still shipping!  Please note due to the ever changing affect covd19 has on the world, there are delays in shipping times and we cannot guarantee the delivery time of your order.

ALL INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES (excluding US and Canada) - Currently we are unable to send to some small island nations due to lack of flights, and covid issues.
I will be sending all international packages through Canada Post (But unfortunately no tracking). There are major delays in postage, due to the reduction in flights and increase in postal services so it maybe up to 30-60 day delay in delivery (I have no clue with delivery times at this moment), but you maybe lucky at get it within 3 weeks!
(Australia and NZ air shipments have resumed, but delay in delivery)

ALL US deliveries are usually being delivered within 3-5 days, but things are changing every day, so there maybe a delay of 1-2 days.

All Canadian deliveries are delayed due to the increase of postage volume and decrease in flights, so deliveries are taking between 3-20 days for delivery. Ontario is experiencing longer than usual delays

Tips

Colour schemes
I am not very colour savvy and if you saw my house and what I wear, you would understand how it doesn't come naturally!  But how do we pick a colour scheme for our dot art and mandalas?  We can pick our colour based on one of 3 ways.

1. Start with a colour scheme - We make our colour decisions before we start dotting.  We match the colours either by sight or we use a colour scheme tool (see below for options).

2. Intuitive colour picking - Intuitive colour picking is when you pick colours as we dot.  No colour scheme is picked prior to the start, and we visualize what colour would suit the design next.  I often dot this way, and when deciding on a colour, my brain goes 'ohhh' when I get to the right colour.  (not a very scientific way, but it works for me!)
3. A bit of both - This is great if you have a colour that you want to incorporate into your design (ie gold for Sept Childhood Cancer month) but want to keep the rest of the colours flexible.

Each way has its advantages and disadvantages, and if you always choose one way, then try and practise a different way!

Picking colour schemes
Even if you are a seasoned dotter or just starting out, there are wonderful tools out there that can help you establish a colour scheme.
Free online colour generators - These online colour generators are great to use, as you can adjust and change the colours and tones (although it may be harder to get the right paint!) .  Click the following links to try them out  - Coolors or Paletton

Free online colour palettes - These just give you straight colour palettes without the need to adjust.  Look for some at Colorhunt  or canva

Manual Colour wheels - These wheels are great when you are first learning about colours and what what happens when you add different colours and the names of basic colour schemes.  If you are getting into mixing your own colours, these are a great starting point.

Ultimate 3 in 1 colour tool

This is a wonderful tool, is it gives you what the colour wheel gives you, but more depth.  (bonus it gives you the online RGB and the CMYK names too).

" My best advice is - Be kind to yourself and be ready for LOTS of experimentation.  Not all experiments are going to turn out well, but they can all be fun and full of information"

When and how did you get into dotting? I’ve been sitting for a little over 2 years. I started with drawing mandalas. I was at a very dark time in my life and I was watching content by a guy named Kyle Cease who talked about doing more things that we would consider 10’s (the things we really enjoy). Another member of his Facebook group was celebrating having just taught her first mandala drawing workshop. Everything in my body just went “I can do that. I WANNA do that”. After about 6 months of drawing, I stumbled upon dot mandalas during a Pinterest search, and the rest is history!
Why do you love dotting? I love how calming this art form is. When I am painting my breath slows, and my mind quiets. It is so easy to focus into the rhythmic designs. I find it very meditative, and very healing.  I also like the endless possibilities with design, colour, and surface to paint on!
How has dotting changed your life? My life has completely changed. I feel like I’m a totally different person than before, in all the best possible ways, and I’m constantly learning. (I really should sit and journal out this question, I feel like there is a lot here). I’ve gone “corporate” to artist. I’ve learned SO much about social media and running a business, I’ve met some of the most incredible people, made lots of genuine new friends, I can’t keep up with my ideas, and most importantly, I look forward to getting out of bed every day to paint, I’m happy
Why did you start doing tiktoks?  Honestly cause Gary Vaynerchuck said that not being on tiktok was missing the boat. So I thought why not. And if it wasn’t for tiktok I truly don’t believe I would be doing this full time!
How did you become so popular on tiktok? My honest answer is to post lots and dumb luck. Lots of experimentation and there is so much more I could be doing to grow larger and faster. Consistent posting would be my biggest advice. And then go live lots once you hit 1000 followers. Your people will find you
Do you sell dotting items/art? I sure do! I sell my hand painted items like mugs, necklace pendants, stones, and candle holders. I also take photos of a lot of my canvas work and use those images on items like clocks, tote bags, tshirts, notebooks, all kinds of fun stuff! And starting in 2022, I will be selling patterns for some of my favourite designs!
What is some advice in selling your art? Ok so this is advice that I’m only just starting to follow, and it probably sounds obvious, but you have to market yourself. I have a bad habit of posting content for a piece before it’s listed in my shop and then never posting about it again and wondering why it didn’t sell. (Ya I heard it haha). I’ve since changed my plan to only post content for pieces that are already listed in my shop or as sneak peeks for upcoming product releases. Oh, and if you can, have some finished pieces in the background during your 'lives' that you can show off!
What is your favourite dotting equipment? Other than my DIY Mandala Stone tools, my lazy Susan has been a game changer for working on canvas!
What have you discovered about yourself since you started dotting? Oh so many things!! I’ve discovered so much about how my mind works, what motivates me, and what I’m capable of! It’s almost like I’ve discovered the ability to recognize my strengths and talk about them, be proud of them! I could go on and on. This really could turn in to pages and pages of answers haha.
What is your biggest lesson you learnt while dotting? That almost every “mistake” is either fixable or will be camouflaged in the final piece. Even many of the big messes that feel so devastating in the moment can be fixed if you want to! And that’s the key, do you WANT to fix it? I’ve abandoned pieces because they just don’t do it for me more often than because of unfixable mistakes.
What piece of advice you would give your beginner? This goes back to following the fun. Really pay attention to how much fun you’re having. If you’re having fun, you’re going to want to do it all the time, so the practice comes easier. And the more you practice the skill develops VERY quickly. So follow the fun, the rest will take care of itself! Practice practice practice!!
